Angel Island Storytime

Join us September 30th at 4PM on Zoom for a fun read-aloud! We’ll be reading a children’s book about building community and helping each other out.

What are we reading?

Author Deepa Iyer will be reading her book We Are The Builders, a children’s picture book about a Community Day where kids and grown-ups use their skills and gifts to help each other.

Ready to find your role to play?

It’s Community Day, and all the kids want to know where they fit in. Could they be builders, restoring old furniture for new neighbors? Caregivers, nurturing friends who are sad or lonely? Frontline responders, preparing for emergencies?

What they discover is that there’s a place for every person, no matter their skills or interests—and that collaboration is what makes their community strong.

This event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
