About the Event

Join us on Zoom on July 23 for the fifth event in our ongoing collaborative series with the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation. Who did what on our islands? What jobs would you need to keep an immigration station running?

Stephen Lean, Director of the American Family Immigration History Center, and Danielle Wetmore, Director of Education at Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation, will cover these questions and personal stories of staff personnel over the course of a 1 hour presentation. They’ll even answer questions you might have in an audience Q+A after the presentation.

We welcome new participants who did not attend previous sessions of the series. If you’re curious about what was covered then, you can watch the recorded sessions on YouTube here.
